Malaysian will face Indonesia in the semi-final of the football competition following a 2-1 win over Vietnam in a Group A match in Naypyitaw today.
Ashri Chuchu and D. Saarvindran netted for Malaysia in the 82nd and 90th minutes while Vietnam replied through Mac Hong Quan in stoppage time.
Malaysia topped the group with 10 points while Singapore on eight points in second.
Malaysia play Indonesia on Thursday followed by the other semi-final match between Group B champions Thailand and Singapore.
